We are Vermont's Choice Builder Association

For over 30 years, the Vermont Builders and Remodelers Association (VBRA) has proudly hosted the Better Homes Awards (BHA), an event dedicated to celebrating excellence in the building and design industries. The BHA’s bring together contractors, designers, architects, and associates from across Vermont for a night of recognition, networking, and celebration of the craftsmanship that shapes our communities. This annual event honors outstanding projects and showcases the innovative work of those who are shaping the future of Vermont’s homes and buildings.

Mission: The mission of the VBRA is to promote, enhance, and maintain a positive business and economic environment conducive to the construction of new housing, the renovation of existing housing, and commercial development. The Association is committed to providing for the housing needs of all Vermonters and to creating competitive advantages for its members.

Can anyone join?

Yes! The VBRA welcomes everyone. Whether you are a large builder, a contractor just starting out, or own a business that interacts with the building industry the VBRA provides value.

How much is a membership?

Builder and Associate memberships are $620 a year.

Can I enter the BHA's if i'm not a member?

You must be a VBRA member to enter the BHA’s. We would love to see everyone’s projects, so we encourage you to join and submit your work.

What do I get with a membership?
